With the curator Laura Terré, we invite you to participate in the guided visit to the Xavier Miserachs exhibition. Unexpected epilogue.
Xavier Miserachs (Barcelona, 1937-1998) was the youngest of a group that at the end of the 1950s recovered the creativity and innovation for applied photography, trace that had been lost after the Civil War.
This exhibition shows a journey through his lifetime showing his style, his intimate interests, the reports and portraits linked to the history of the second half of the 20th century, the different genres and applications of photography, techniques and especially the evolution of a committed and reflective look, always in complicity with the public, rather than with the subject. A selection of images from its huge archive, taken into account for the first time in it's totality: from the photos of the amateur to those of the professional, from black and white to color and from experimentation to work by orders, to complete with those topics that prematurely made this young author a classic.
