Foto Colectania hosts the meeting between Japanese photographer Kazuma Obara and the Japanese commissioner and specialist in photography, Marc Feustel. During the debate, we will approach the photographic practice of Obara and the process of editing his most popular photobooks. From Silent Histories, which dealt with the survivors of the bombings in Japan during World War II, until his latest publication Exposure (project awarded with the World Press Photo Award), a study on the Chernobyl nuclear accident. Obara has developed a unique process when preparing his books, which allowed him to experiment with different narrative and multi-layered approaches.
ACTIVITY IN ENGLISH. FREE ENTRY AND LIMITED CAPACITY.
At the end of the activity, Kazuma Obara will sign copies of its publications and a beer will be offered courtesy of Damm Foundation, the main contributor to the activities of Foto Colectania.
