In March 2017, we moved our headquarters to Paseo Picasso 14, in the Born neighborhood, in the heart of Barcelona.
The new space is located in the former headquarters of “La Comercial de Guarnicionería”, a centennial establishment dedicated to the sale of equestrian items. The space is listed as an emblematic establishment in the city by the Barcelona City Council.
It consists of 500 m2 rehabilitated under the baton of architect Jaume Pons and interior designer Pilar Líbano, who carried out a project marked by deep respect for the historical heritage of the premises.
In our headquarters we offer diverse experiences thanks to a space that houses a temporary exhibition hall, a library, a room for presenting audiovisuals and the conservation chamber that houses our photography collection, one of the most important legacies of photography in our country.
'Fundación Foto Colectania' was founded in Barcelona in January 2002 with the purpose of disseminating and promoting photography. The hall of the Foundation is the first exhibition hall specialized in photography in Barcelona.
From that year on, the Foundation proceeded to install its documentary collections, a specialized library, the conservation chamber and its offices in a splendid space, which allows the possibility of exhibitions dedicated to photography and which is open to all types of interested public.
The Foundation's space is enabled for people with reduced mobility.
