Juan Manuel Castro Prieto. Born in Madrid, in 1958.
Trained in Economy, he started in Photography in a self-taught way, bringing his personal style with many changes to the traditional photographic language. He has been awarded with various prizes and in 2015 he receives the National Prize of the Photography.

Cristina De Middel National Photography Award in 2017, Cristina is nominated to be part of the prestigious Magnum Agency. The photograph we present belongs to the "Party" series, a combination of manipulated texts from the Little Red Book of Mao Tsetung and the images taken by the artist during her trips to China.
